Dr. Wilton Sturges
Wilton (Tony) Sturges is a Professor Emeritus in the Department
of Oceanography at the Florida State University. He was formerly
on the faculty at the University of Rhode Island. Now that he is
retired, he has no formal teaching schedule but thinks that
"doing oceanography" is still fun. His specialty area is Ocean
Circulation, especially in the Atlantic, Caribbean, and Gulf of
Mexico, as well as general studies of sea level and sea-level
rise. A list of recent publications is on the
